Calling All Parents! Are you looking for a great excuse to get the kids out of the house each day for an hour or two of exercise while you get a chance to soak up the rays? Then the Austin Ridge Rapids is the perfect choice for you and your family. We are looking for swimmers between the age of 5 and 18 to be a part of our team. Our only requirement is that your swimmer can make it from one end of the pool to the other. We are a teaching team, concentrating on making it fun and enjoyable for the swimmer while they work to improve their strokes, so it doesn't matter whether you swim like a tadpole or a tiger shark. We're a parent volunteer organization, with parental participation a must, to make the swim season a great time for the entire family.

Our season begins with practice right after Memorial Day in May, and concludes with the Division Finals the first week in August. Family vacations are no problem! Our meet schedule usually means one meet per week (nighttime). Swim meets are a great family evening -- even for siblings who are too young yet to swim. Parents volunteer to help with various aspects of the meet, including concessions, timing, and heat ribbons, just to name a few.
