DIRECTIONS: Route 3 east to King George. Turn left onto Route 206 at the King George High School. Follow this road until it dead ends at the Naval installation. The base police will direct you to the parking locations.

(Each team's Safety Marshall should be present during warm-ups)

Reminder: Teams should never practice starts when swimmers are returning from the wall and swimming towards the starting blocks.

MEET BEGTNS PROMPTLY @ 1230

 

FACILITY: Dahlgren Aquatic Center is an indoor facility with a 6 lane 25 yard pool. We will be utilizing all 6 lanes.

1. We will have use of the entire grass area and play ground on the back side of the pool. Please look for your teams designated area. This is where you will set up your chairs and tents.

2. Swimmers should wear foot protection to and from the pool.

3. First Aid will be provided by life guards and on site volunteer fire and rescue,

4. NO CHAIRS ARE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK.

5. There will be no food or drinks allowed on the pool deck with the exception of coaches and officials to include timers (beverages only).

6. There will be Safety Marshall's on deck to enforce all rules and regulation regarding the facility.

7. The facility has a personnel capacity of 2A4 people so we ask that you come in and watch your child swim and then immediately leave the facility so that we don't go over this limit.  There will be numbers issued as people come and go to assist with controlling the amount of people on the decks.

8. Young children are to be with an adult at all times. Please do not allow them to run free inside the facility and please keep them out of the small training pool.

9. There will be a misting station set up on the outdoor basketball court.

10. The head scorer’s table and ribbon writers will be located in the youth center that is attached to the pool.

11. The Clerk of the Course will be located outside the black fence near the main front entrance of the pool.

12. Announcements inside the pool area wilt be made from the pool deck and all announcements outside the pool will be made from the announcing station located outside.

13. The concession stand will be located in the pavilion behind the pool where all guest are located.

14. The restroom facilities located in the pool area will only be utilized by coaches, officials, timers and concessions workers so that they have the ability to wash their hands.

15. There will be Porta-Potties with hand sanitizer located outside for use by all people not authorized to use the indoor facilities.

16. Life guards will be provided by the Dahlgren Aquatic Center.

17. There will be a drop off located at NSWC Federal Credit Union where people can unload chairs, tents, coolers and other such items.

18. In the event of thunder and lightning storm all people are asked to immediately clear the pool decks. I am working on acquiring some facilities to provide shelter, however if this does not happen all people will be required to take shelter in their cars.

19. The Dahlgren Aquatics Center employees will be monitoring the number of people on deck and will shut the meet down if we do not abide by the occupancy rules, so please abide by the rules stated above.

20. PLEASE RESPECT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE RSL AND THE DAHLGREN AQUATIC CENTER AT ALL TIMES.
